Rain on your wedding day. I know it’s not what every bride dreams of.
But here at Next Exit Photography, most of our brides will do just about anything –even walk through sheets of water– to get that amazing shot. That’s what they DO dream of.

Brynn’s adorable Mom booked Next Exit as we had shot her neighbor’s daughter’s wedding years ago. You can’t get a much better referral than mom to mom, right?

We just adore both sides of this warm and loving family.
Who knew that our groom, a Pro Football linebacker for the Oakland Raiders and Brynn’s dad, a former American Major League baseball player — could be so darn cuddly?

  • Alice G Patterson - First of all, I LOVE that first detail shot… that adorable little pooch makes it all come to life! Also loving this bride’s great taste and the fact that the bridesmaids each have their own distinct dress… very sophisticated solution that looks awesome! Of course, your photos reflect all the magic of the a very fun looking day!

  • Tamea Burd - What a lovely wedding! These photos are wonderful. Especially love the shots under the umbrella!

  • Aksela - Haha, what an interesting shot (#1) with the dog. It adds so much personality to the photo. Loving it !

Kevin contacted me out of the blue and found me searching the good ole web. What did we wedding photogs ever do before SEO?!
Our midnight email chats went on for some time, but this medical school groom wanted the very best for his big day. And, he got it!

Kevin and Sukyung are one of the sweetest couples I have ever worked with. Both super shy but yet so in love.
The time we spent together trapsing through the winter snow (and fields of goose poop) was a day I won’t soon forget.
It happened to be warmish for a New Year’s wedding in Colorado, but the snow showered down just as the guests sat down to dinner.

We’ll be back in Denver shooting another wedding this coming December. I hope we have such incredible weather luck!

  • Josh - Your work is terrific. Great composition and colors!

  • Michelle - Wow..these pictures are amazingly irresistible to look at.

The way the shots look, this is a work of art..one look of it and it catches all your attention.

I’m playing a bit of catch up on the blog.

Tonight, I bring you the lovely and adorable couple, DJ (from Laos and Thailand) and Mike (from Ireland). Adi and I have traveled to all 3 countries together, so it was especially wonderful to get to talk about my love for their homelands!

Their simple and elegant wedding started out at their home in Corona Del Mar. The couple had their first look on their backyard patio!! It was so super cute.
We then traveled to their ceremony and reception site at the Crystal Cove State Park in Laguna Beach.
It’s an incredibly intimate spot, perfect for a small, DIYS wedding, with oodles of fabulous nooks for incredible wedding photography.
The serene beach front is just a hot, skip and a golf cart away.

  • Sam Fitzpatrick - Beautiful wedding! I will always remember it. You two look awesome together. Look at that smile on Mike 🙂

Michelle and Nima were married at the Earl Burns Miller Japanese Gardens in Long Beach. The sun set during the beautiful ceremony on the bridge.
During the reception, the guests were surprised with a second traditional Persian wedding ceremony, where the couple dips one pinky finger into a cup of honey and feeds it to  one another – to sweeten life!
Congrats to the two doctors and to their wonderful families!

Adi giving a photo tutorial….

Not everybody gets TWO weddings (i’m jealous!). Can Adi and I do ours again??? It’s almost 10 years!

This is day two for Elana and Christopher. Such gorgeous color and flair. And the food? It hear it was TDF.
We love shooting cultural weddings and Indian Weddings are no exception.
Thank you to Elana and Chris for allowing us to be part of your wedding celebrations.
