I bring you – straight from the southern region of – San Juan Capistrano, CA, a perfect two-day Indian Wedding extravaganza!
Talk about the nicest couple ever. They even referred us another wedding gig – and we were all such a happy little family.
Loved, loved working with Elana and Chris and so happy that their wedding day(s) were such bliss.

I’ll admit flying off to Hawaii for the weekend to shoot a fantastic wedding has many perks. I was hired by a amazing couple who lives in Oakland, but loved my work of their friend’s wedding that I shot in New York last year. It’s  like a twisted game of six degrees of separation, but bring it on.
Besides being super cool (along with their amazingly fun bridal party), Grace, Jonathan and I share a love for the local Hawaiian fare including Spam Musubi, Loco Moco and Tuna Poke.
Note the photo of the ravenous couple as they were about to devour a Chicken Katsu Burger on Waikiki Beach. One can get mighty hungry shooting these fierce romantics on the sand.
And how cool (and convenient for me!) that their wedding happened to be the same weekend as the USC Trojan’s opening day football game against the University of Hawaii Warriors. It was so much fun to watch my Alma mater win a game this season, cough cough. Fight On!

Book ’em Danno!

Imagine our excitement when the editors of the premiere bridal magazine in Australia, Wedding Style Guide, decided to publish a 6 page spread of Amanda and David’s Chateau Le Dome Saddlerock Ranch wedding.
Designed and coordinated by one of Southern California’s finest wedding experts, Angel Swanson, at Events of Love and Splendor, every detail was perfection.
It’s cool to be global, isn’t it?
PS The magazine is sold at Borders!

These days, it’s not uncommon for us to hear from clients that they don’t know exactly how they were initially introduced to Next Exit Photography.

It usually goes something like,
…..I found you searching the web, and then your name kept popping up everywhere, and then I found out a friend of a friend used you, and then our location had great things to say about you, and so on. Well, we are so excited that all of the above happened for Ashlee and Matt when they were searching for a wedding photographer!

Ashlee emailed me shortly after booking us that she was considering working with wedding planner extraordinaire, Beth Helmstetter, and of course, we raved about her!

The wedding was nothing short of spectacular with beyond eye-popping decor and detail.

  • Monica Cortes - Wow! Beautiful wedding! love the formals, the details, everything! 😀

I had hoped that Sara and Neal would book me after our initial consultation because we got along so well.  And, the fact that I knew their location so well didn’t hurt either. (it’s 2 miles from my house!) Wilshire Restaurant in Santa Monica, is one of our favorite in the city and it happens to be right across the street from the park that I grew up at as a child.
I really enjoyed working with this beautiful couple as I expected and the day was just perfect all around. The ceremony was so well done and the toasts were hysterical!
Also, one of my former favorite grooms, Craig, works at the restaurant so it was so cool to see him in his element!
