Of course, it helps when we shoot your cousin’s wedding the year before yours. Remember Samantha and Ian?
I’m always a sucker for awesome intros from my clients. I about fell in love with Petra and Josh the minute we connected through the web. This about sums it up.

“Hi Cat and Adi!  We have been stalking your blog for inspiration since we got engaged, and it truly made us understand the value of excellent photography.  As the single most tangible wedding memory we will have, photography is a super high priority for us.  Why you? (1) Your photos are beautiful but you make it all look effortless.  They aren’t trying too hard to be cool, but they are.   (2) Your couples seem SO comfortable showing their relationship in front of the camera, so … Since many of our wedding guests will be traveling from far away, we want to create a uniquely California feeling; relaxed, but elegant, a garden party, a bit of old Hollywood glamour, and lots of whimsy.  Think saxophones and Sidecars turning into a sparkling evening speakeasy.  Oh, and after all the dancing, we’ll be sure to represent our city gastronomically with a midnight snack a la the classic nyc hot dog/pretzel cart.
We really hope you will be a part of our wedding! Warmly, Petra and Josh”

Enough said.

  • Gloria Mesa - beautiful!! Love to visit again and again.. great source of inspiration..

When my darling friend, Laurel Szeto, brought Christine and her charming mother to our studio last summer, I held my breath and crossed my fingers that I would book the wedding.
The bride’s international family (dad is from Romania where the bride also grew up and mom is originally from Taiwan) And, the groom’s family? Well, they flew in from Long Island. Just as cool!
These two are uber smart and met at John’s Hopkins and the rest was history. (or in her case, Applied Math. In his? Applied Math and Econ)
In the last year, these two over achievers landed jobs, bought a house, planned a wedding cross country and she got her masters degree.)
The wedding was perfection at my favorite southern Cali wedding venue, Saddlerock Ranch in Malibu.
Love you guys!

I love this shot!

  • Amber - I am in love with these photos. The shots of the bride and groom walking off into the sunset, the full-shot of the reception after dark from a distance showing the paper lanterns and hanging lights with the cake in the far right bottom corner and almost everyone on the dance floor, and the expressions of pure joy on the bride and groom’s faces…absolutely amazing!!! I continue to be impressed. 🙂

  • Rachel Rausch Johnson - I still LOVE your work! Great job guys!

This wedding was so special to me, partly because the couple was so amazing and sweet.
Besides that, the wedding party rocked it (from rock climbing in heels to tequila shots all night long)
The families were adorable and the decor was off the hook. Yes, a perfect wedding.
Such a fun night and it was such a pleasure to be a part of it!!
I have the best clients! (don’t be jealous)

  • jon - Trés cool! I love these shots 🙂

When Baley first emailed me, she told me she found us in a magazine. How cool is that!
Then, she shared that she was across the country in school and that her dear mother would be interviewing us. Gulp! Well, it just so happens that Adi and I love moms and well, we all fell in love with one another.
When I found out that Kerrie Underhill was coordinating, Gulp again! She is an uber well-known OC coordinator who we had been hearing wonderful things about for years. No worries, we fell in love with her, too!

This was a “lunchtime” wedding of perfection and we were so honored to be a part of it! Love, love Monarch Beach Resort. How can you not.
