Erin and Adam had a gorgeous wedding at the Sheraton Delfina in Santa Monica. It was one of those days that everybody was sure it was going to rain, but well, it didn’t, and the light was perfection!

I remember chatting with adorable mom, Barbara, when I was shooting a wedding in New York last summer, and I knew then that we were a perfect fit!

Special thanks to the Spire Family for referring us the job. Mindy (the bride’s first cousin) and my brother played Little League soccer together 25 years ago, and the family decided to spread the Next Exit love!

Melissa and I have know each other for 20 years. We met in the seventh grade and remained friends throughout school. Like people so often do, we lost touch after graduation but then came… Facebook.  Thank God! A friendship was reborn and well, Mel was looking for a wedding photographer. Sweet!
Melissa and Scott’s wedding was perfection at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood, California. Gorgeous and elegant! Because I know Melissa as well as I do, I can honestly say it was the wedding of her dreams. I’m so happy for you!!! MeLiSSSSSaaaaaa!!!!

I wish the both of you the very best and I look forward to photographing your children any day now. wink, wink

My baby brother got married to the most amazing girl. The wedding was perfection. The weather was sublime.

Our families gathered from around the globe. What a week.

Adi and I weren’t the official photographers that day, but Adi did manage to sneak the almost newlyweds out to the docks for 4 minutes of astonishing portraits.

Then, we danced the night away. And Clara outlasted all of us!

  • Nessa K - The light in her hair in those outdoors shots is absolutely… brilliant. I love this so much. =)

  • brendajk123@yahoo.com - Glorious pics of the fantastic couple.

  • Lynn - Clara is ah-dor-able! I love her dress.

  • Alice - Sublime is a perfect word choice for the weather AND these beautiful portraits!

  • Yuka photo art - What a stylish, passionate, creative couple!

  • fotograf ?lubny gda?sk - I love that type of pictures – I am very interested of what brand of equipment do You use – is ti Canon or Nikon?

  • Cat - We were using a D700 with a 70-200 2.8

Even though we are just getting around to blogging our October 2009 through our current weddings, don’t dismay, the couples received their proofs ages ago!

Adi just adored working with Ani and Tom at their incredible Hollywood wedding last fall.
The exquisite ceremony held at the St. John Armenian Church and equally stunning reception held at the Taglyan Ballroom at the Taglyan Arts and Cultural Complex, both in Hollywood, blew us away!

Here is a lovely note that the bride sent us that I thought I would share….We book a handful of Armenian weddings every year and most of the clients book us because they don’t want the same ole thing.

Hi Cat,
My hubby and I just got back from our honeymoon, but I wanted to say how happy we were with Adi and his team on our wedding day! They had the best energy/vibe, made everyone feel at ease, were truly masters of their work and I have no doubt in my mind that our photos are going to turn out amazingly well! I had many people ask me who my photographers were because they noticed how differently they were operating from typical Armenian photographers (which is what 75% of the crowd is used to) — I can’t wait to open their eyes up to the realm of other possibilities 😉 We can’t wait to see our photos! Hope you guys are doing great. Say hi to Adi and please let him know that everyone adored him and we are all excited to see the end result.
Thank you again!  -Ani

  • Melissa - That first image of the gown on the dress form is gorgeous to me!! And then to see the bride in her gown — stunning! I just recently visited the Taglyan Center for the first time a week or so ago – what a lovely venue.
Congrats to the bride and groom! Thanks for sharing so many pretty images…

  • Suzanne - great pictures…they look so blissful! And the picture of the bride and her father….what a wonderful moment!

  • Tim Hind Photography - Lovely images with great light. I love the emotion you have captured during the ceremony.

It was a perfect day for an Orange County Wedding! The energy and excitement was brimming and the weather could not have been more beautiful. Watching Nikki and Rob get married at the magnificent Pelican Hill Resort was such a site. I loved watching Rob’s adoring son and Nikki’s adoring sister Mindy (who happens to be one of my closest friends) witness the vows. And, for those of you who have been following Next Exit over the years, you’ll recognize the famous Next Exit Kid, Miss Madison, who rocked as the flower girl.

The wedding was perfectly planned by Kathy Nosek at Divine-Occasion. Kathy happens to be planning insane events in Vancouver, Canada for the Winter Olympics right now and then the lucky girl gets to go to my homeland, South Africa, to coordinate some more at the World Cup 2010!

Nikki and Rob are both big time Hollywood agents and their client list is more VIP than backstage at the Bruce Concert. I hope that they all get a look at the photos and hire me to shoot their families! wink wink

  • Nicola Borland - I really like your work. I especially like the quality of light on the bride pictures. Beautiful.

  • Tim Hind - Great wedding photographs, tell a great story

It’s a tough job…spending a gorgeous day by the sea in Long Beach, cruising the Boardwalk in Shoreline Village and then making your way to the world famous Long Beach Aquarium for a rocking wedding party! Yeah, okay, it wasn’t that tough. It was just perfect! With details to kill for and florals so out of this world (yay Fleuretica!), I imagine this was the wedding of their dreams.
