You may not know this, but Delia and Jerry have a serious case of the giggles. It’s not serious, but it is certainly contagious. A couple of weeks ago, we all made the trek cross town in rush hour traffic to the magnificent, newly remodeled, Griffith Observatory. Jerry and Delia were in total Next Exit super model mode as they battled swarms of foreign tourists as well as swarms of Hollywood gnats. Delia took one to the eye (a gnat, not a tourist), but the damage was negligible. It just resulted in another giggle bout. Can’t wait for their June wedding!
There was something about Natalie and Mike. Just the way that they interacted, and laughed and had so much to say about one another.
They were so delightful to photograph at their engagement session. I mean, come on! Those outfits? eeeee!!!
Natalie adopted the cat that Stephanie found last year, so we all owe them our animal loving thanks.
Their wedding, at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church and then Casa Del Mar, is going to be off the hook.
Ruth and Michael’s wedding happened to be on one of the nicest days of the year so far. I don’t only mean weather-wise, but perfect wedding wise as well! The couple was so in love and the bridal party were so much fun to work with!! And yes, both families were a true delight and the location was a dream to work at. I loved the staff at the Oakmont Country Club, so friendly and accommodating. Adi and I had so much fun capturing the day.
One of my favorite wedding planners was focused and in charge of every last detail. I highly recommend Jill Hawkins from MHPevents if you are still looking for help on your wedding day.
P.S. Reality TV Fans, YES! That is Evil Dr. Will from Big Brother (I lurv you) and his girlfriend, Erin Brodie, from “For Love Or Money”

One day Dorit will become Clara’s preschool teacher, but for now she has to settle with being one half of a very radical Next Exit wedding couple. We started the engagement shoot getting kicked out of the Coffee Bean that Dorit and Darren had their first date at (FYI: Darren got permission from corporate to shoot there but the manager decided to exert her power and boot us to the curb anyhow.) 30 minutes and a whole mess of traffic later we were rocking the sunset glow in Santa Monica and the nightlife on the 3rd Street Promenade. Then off to a little bowling exposition (one of their favorite pass times) at the AMF Lanes on Pico. Permission granted! 😉
I won’t have to get permission to shoot their amazing wedding this June (right?), so I certainly look forward to that.
Clara’s 1st birthday party was more than I could have ever wished for. Family, friends, good food and music.
Some of my favorite event vendors made it even more special.
Children’s Music Entertainment: Music, Stars and Masters
Flowers: Val Eule, Just Flowers
Catering and Cupcakes: Lisa Feinstein, Provisions
Birthday Cake: Vanilla Bake Shop
Rentals: Pico Party Rentals
Favors, Bubbles, Blow-up Animals and Guitars: Oriental Trading Company
Cake Topper, Disposables, Decor: Party City
One of the reasons that I have hesitated posting this on the blog is because Maddie Spohr, daughter of Heather and Mike (Next Exit wedding clients and friends), passed away somewhat unexpectedly 2 days after the birthday party. Our hearts have been filled with sorrow since the passing of this perfect little 17 month old girl. Mike and Heather both told me at the funeral how they were glad that Maddie had so much fun at the party before the tragic day.
To read all about Maddie’s story read here. Mom Heather is a famous mom blogger and is followed by other moms around the globe.
To donate money to the March of Dimes, in honor of Maddie, as their friends and family march on April 25th, go here.
Miss Maddie, we love you.
