It occurred to me the other day when I was over at my Uncle’s house for their Passover seder that I had never photographed his beautiful twin daughters (a.k.a. my first cousins). Laurie is a jeweler in New York City (anybody need an engagement ring?) and Valerie lives the rocker life in Los Angeles working for Live Nation (thanks for the tickets to Bruce, Val!) Laurie was in town for the holiday, so Cat and I figured we’d surprise my Uncle and Aunt with a shoot on the train tracks. We tried for something a little more contemporary than that faded old picture of the two of them at 4 years old in ribbons and bows which currently resides above the fireplace.
Chantelle and Brad are getting married at the uberchic hotel, the Sheraton Delfina, in Santa Monica, just next month!!
I really had a wonderful time shooting their engagement session in Santa Monica. Getting to know them was easy…they both have such warm personalities and it really shows in the photos!
Chantelle is a self described blog-stalker, so we’ll see how long it takes her to find her post! (granted, it is now 10:30pm on a Friday night, but who knows) 😉
Julia and Urban were a dream to work with. We knew that their wedding photography would be spectacular due to their undeniably stunnerific engagement pictures. The day was perfect due to the incredible team at Bob Gail Events who provided the florals, lighting, rockin’ entertainment, and coordination for the big day. Planner Katie Kitchen was such a pleasure to work with. Christine Collucci from Mafia Makeup was responsible for the bride’s flawless hair and makeup. Stuart Pearson was responsible for the elegant ceremony music along with Urban’s sister who sang a traditional Swedish song. The yummy cake was designed by the always fabulous, Hansen’s Cakes. Wedding videographer, Walter Pawluck, always a pleasure to work with you, friend! Finally, it is always wonderful to work with the incredible staff at the famous Biltmore Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles. Every ballroom there is fit for a rock star and so wonderful to document!!
I had so much fun shooting Allison and her amazing two year old, Hannah. Allie and I found eachother on Facebook a few months back. We went to the same jr. high and high school and carpooled daily to swim team practice.
Ah, so many memories!
Of course, we just had to do her shoot a stone’s throw away from the pool and Palisades High. I can’t wait to shoot her new baby in a few weeks!!

Here is a sample from the session we shot of cute Jude (Sherry McAnelly’s adorable son!)
I shot THREE maternity sessions this week.
The first one was of my beautiful next door neighbor, Erin.
I was actually shooting a speck job for a maternity magazine, so I used my beyond photogenic daughter, Clara, for a couple of the pics. That is Clara’s crib, by the way. Isn’t it cuterific???
