I know that Ann and Jack have been patiently waiting their turn for a blog post. Adi photographed this fabulous wedding at the Valley Hunt Club. The flowers were done by Ashley Kline of Kendis & Co. Chris at Starr House did the bride’s hair and Madelyn at The Gates did the makeup. Both studios are located in San Marino. The bride wanted me to mention that the most important vendor was the USC Bookstore, where she purchased her Beat Ohio State button. And, beat them, they did.

Every time I look at this set of pictures, I smile. How can you not? The bride is so obviously full of joy…and it is infectious!

  • Kelley Lee Gin - I love the soft-natural curls on Ann. Chris, at Starr House is my stylist and he is awesome! The bridal bouquet really pops against the dress! Great job on this wedding!

Glen and Paul had the most amazing gay wedding, planned in the most elegant way. The Patina Restaurant Group Catering at Walt Disney Concert Hall was perfect in every way, a brilliant team of event experts lead by the lovely Jill Halferty. Wedding Planner, Michael Willms of Entertainment Design Events, and his dynamic team, assisted Patina in producing the most effortless affair. There were so many Hollywood VIPs in attendance, but we’ll keep name dropping to a minimum (writers of The Muppets, Star Trek, the new Battlestar Galactica, Stargate SG-1, The Dark Crystal) which brought out all kinds of dork in my husband. Glenn is also a screenwriter and Paul is an animation artist and the Art Director of Disney’s new upcoming feature, Bolt. Sweet! It was an absolute dream to be their gay wedding photographers.
Okay, so, Glenn made this blog post pretty easy for me because I asked him for some personal factoids and he gave me the following (as only a writer would!) There was more, but I had to edit it down… ha ha.

“We’ve been together for almost 14 years. Our wedding was the best day of our lives! Our young nephews and niece kept thanking us for getting married and making them cousins. Our big dogs are still more excited by dinner than by our being married, but they seem pleased enough. My wedding band is half of my late father’s wedding band, and half new gold; Paul’s was made to match.
It’s so important to us and to our entire families that we’re finally legally married. Nothing could be more wonderful, powerful, meaningful or special. It’s been a long wait. The celebration was pure joy, but the only cloud on the horizon is the possibility that our marriage could be taken away from us now — unless Californians vote no on Proposition 8. “

Now on to the talented vendors.

Irene and Leonard had a super cool wedding soiree at The Sky Room in Long Beach. It was all about the multitude of photo excursions that evening and Adi and the crew had a blast! The cocktail and hors d’oeuvres extravaganza was yumbo and every guest was cooler than the next. The oldies band, The Topics, from San Pedro, rocked. The hair team from Crew Salon in Costa Mesa, CA and makeup team from Fragments, San Pedro, CA made the bride more glamorous than she already was, if that’s at all possible. Props to coolio Disc Jockey: Carlo Cambare.

Thanks you guys!

As we are now approaching our first weekend off since March, we thought we’d skip town for a refresher, recharger and remargarita-er.

Clara has the cutest little bathing suits and dresses for her first ever grown up vacation. Can you believe she is already 6-months-old??

We’ll be back October 21st (Adi’s Birthday!) ready to take on all of our client’s needs in a more cheerful mood than ever.

Nicole, our ever faithful office manager, will be here at the studio to answer any emails or questions. Her email is or click here.

I know that you’ll miss us but, just know, we’ll miss you, too!!

We’ll be back soon to blog a gazillion weddings, family portrait sessions, and maybe even a few peachy beachy pics of Clara.

xoxo, c, a, and mini-c

We so dig Erin and Josh. They are totally adorable and sweet and amazing. Their wedding was super stunning, held at one of our hangouts, Cicada. Adi and I have photographed so many weddings there, it’s always fun to see how different couples make use of the space. And, what a bonus that we got to use the Oviatt Penthouse for pics! (We are on their recommended vendor list… Adi shot one of the first ever weddings held there and many since. ) Erin looked so beautiful and the couple worked it during their Mr. and Mrs. session (aka urban safari) on the streets of Downtown Los Angeles. It was so much fun hanging with Next Exit alums, Elissa and Matt…
