So, you can see how behind we are with our blogging duties based on the first image! I shot this session when I was 36 weeks preggers! Adi captured that shot of me rolling around in the sand. Clara (who didn’t have name at that point) was such a trooper. Although, if I remember correctly, the lemonade from Hot Dog on a Stick did come up on me a bit (what didn’t!?).
Cheyenne and Marco and their beautiful daughter spent the afternoon with me at my favorite beach. I can not wait to shoot their wedding NEXT WEEK!

  • Amy - I love these! You guys do great work!

There was a lot of love at Ila and Danny’s engagement session and at their wedding at The Turnip Rose “Grand Newport Plaza,” sparks flew!
Flower Allie designed the beautiful flowers and the scrumptious cake was from Cinderella Cakes. I especially enjoyed the (almost) midnight Paebaek Ceremony. I mean, who doesn’t love a good date.
Then, to top it off, they sent the guests on their way with Krispy Kremes, cookies and choco covered strawberries galore!

  • Renee V. - Hi Ila and Danny! Congrats to you both! Such beautiful pictures!

  • Jennifer Ringdahl - Hello you beautiful lovebirds!

We are so honored to have been a part of your lavish wedding. You guys truly made the evening magical.

    The pics are gorgeous!

We can’t wait to hear about your honeymoon!

Take care and see you soon!

  • David Kim - Dear Ila and Denny,
The wedding was beautiful. You both did a fantastic job planning and carrying it through. It was so great to see both of you. You guys expecting a baby any time soon?…. talk to you later.. David

How freaking cute are Cherly and Mike? They are my 08-08-08 wedding and I couldn’t be more excited for their wedding. They are getting married at the Cathedral of our Lady of the Angeles in downtown Los Angeles and their rockin’ reception is at my alma mater, USC. Fight On!

The ice cream colors are their wedding colors. Coincidence? I think not.

  • angel swanson - beautiful set of images!! cheryl — you look gorgeous! congrats to you both; i know the wedding will be incredible!

  • Chung - Great pictures, as always. But I’m commenting because Cheryl needs to know that she is totally rocking her haircut. I love it!!! (: I think the official term is “HAWTNESS!”

  • lindsey - cute session! love cheryl’s dress – very pretty.

  • Jamie Paule - wow you guys look like MODELS!!! Love the ice-cream shot! Can’t wait till the Big day!!!

  • Stephanie Williams - I love the second one down! Awesome session!

Lizzy and Howard are so amazing. And amazing will their wedding be! They will exchange vows at one of our favorite locations in Santa Monica, Shutters on the Beach. Yummy!
And, Lizzy shares a birthday with little Clara!! Love that!
Aren’t they so cute and sporty-spiced?

Oh and check out Lizzy and Howard hanging with Venice Beach’s own iconic super star, Harry Perry! Turban and all!

Adi and I are so proud to have been selected from thousands of deserving photographers across the nation as the Best Of the Knot in the wedding photography category! The Knot is one of our industry’s most highly respected sources for all things wedding. What an honor to have been chosen for the second year in a row in their Best Of 2008 issue! This time, as the Editor’s Pick, no less!
The Knot says THIS about Editor’s Pick.
“Q: What’s an editor’s pick?
A: It’s simply that. We tossed aside the votes for those vendors we feel rank above and beyond for outstanding service and noted them as such by designating them with a check mark. We have worked with these vendors and were very impressed with their skill and service.”

Thank you, thank you, to Rebecca Crumley, and her amazing team for this unbelievable honor.

  • Heather - Yahoo!!! Congrats you guys! I’m not surprised in the least. I knew you were the best a long time ago!

  • Lynn Hull - CONGRATS! Most deserved.

Ellen hired Next Exit pretty late in the game… (one month before her wedding!) But, sometimes, things are just meant to be that way because we were a perfect fit! Adi was beyond psyched when the bride revealed that she would be wearing a canary yellow dress (by Jenny Yoo) at her wedding at the Viceroy in Palm Springs. And, yellow Prada shoes! Yum. The amazing wedding coordination, which included flower design, custom linens, lounge furniture, etc, etc, was provided by Joey at Artisan Events.
And, the gorgeous cake was designed by Samantha at Exquisite Desserts.

On a final note, it must be stated that the wedding was officiated by Chief Justice Ronald M. George of the California Supreme Court, who was notably responsible for the overturn of the ban of gay marriage in our state just yesterday.
And, yes, we are available for the photography of same-sex weddings!
