May and Scott had a beautiful wedding at the Adamason House in Malibu. May is an identical twin and Scott is a fraternal twin and May’s sister is married to a twin!! Twin City!! The ceremony was held “in the round” (just like Cat and I did for our wedding) and it was so beautiful on the lawn underneath the famous elm. All of the vendors were fabulous, so I am going to list them here:
Catering/Rentals: Event Professionals
Videography: Thomas Buckley
DJ: Jaimee at Edge Entertainment
Hair/Makeup: Sherry Younge
Wedding Dress: La Sposa
Bridesmaid Dresses: Ann Taylor

  • May - Thank you thank you thank you!! Adi and Stephanie – you guys are wonderful! The pictures turned out fantastic!!! I can’t stop looking them over and over! I can’t wait to see the rest!

  • Diana Lundin - Could there be a more gorgeous bride than May? She looks exquisite and you captured her beauty perfectly. Scott looks pretty good, too. He’s a lucky guy!

  • lindsey - Gorgeous stuff, Adi! Love the bridal shots of May.

Jordan, Helen, Grace, Joe and Haley met us down at the Santa Monica Beach for some killer family portraits. Could they be more of a poster family? So much fun and easy to work (and play) with!
The portrait season is in full swing and we only have a handful of dates left for 2007. Call the Next Exit Photography Studio to book your holiday family portrait today! We are shooting all over Los Angeles County!

As you know, Adi and I photographed our good friend (and fellow wedding photographer) Kim Fox’s wedding last year in Joshua Tree. We have since photographed her maternity session and now, the gorgeously adorable, Tess. She was so sweet and well behaved!! Kim’s mom came out from New York City for the week and so we scheduled the shoot for her to attend. There are so many amazing shots, but here are a few of my favorites.
Make sure to check out all of our holiday family portrait specials at the top of the blog! Portrait sessions can either take place at the Next Exit Studio in Los Angeles or at your home or favorite local park or beach!

  • Kim Fox - Oh my God! Cat – you are amazing. These photos are glorious! We had such a blast with you and I could melt everytime I look at photo #3. You were so patient with us (feeding and diaper changes!). Next Exit Photography are officially the Sloan/Fox Family photographers! Thank you so much for documenting this little slice of history with my two favorite gals!!!!

    Love Kim

  • Heather & Mike - Oh my gosh…that top photo with the baby’s expression!!! I want to eat her up. So adorable!

Melissa and Steve had an exquisite wedding at the Hillcrest Country Club in Los Angeles. Every detail was planned to perfection with the help of Frank Mercado and his amazing staff at the club, along with my friend, Rebecca Stone, from Duet Weddings. I had referred Rebecca to the family knowing that they would be a perfect fit. Rebecca and I both agreed that this is one of the most seamless locations to work at in the city.
I know that I mentioned it before, but Melissa and her family grew up across the street from my family in Brentwood. This was the first Next Exit wedding that my parents (see photo below of adorable couple) ever attended (no pressure) and it was so amazing getting to work in front of them. My father was a little worried when during the horah, I was on the floor in the middle of dozens of crazy dancers. (We’ll risk our lives for our brides! He he) Rabbi Steven Carr Reuben from Temple Kehillat Israel in the Pacific Palisades preformed a beautiful ceremony on the lawn of the golf course. What a view. City of Commerce did a superb job designing the florals. Debois Entertainment (Powerpoint) had the dance floor packed all night long with their amazing band!
Congrats Melissa and Steve and welcome to the club!

  • Rebecca Stone - Congrats to Melissa and Steve!
This was such an incredibly beautiful day. Cat and Adi, you did an amazing job capturing the emotions of the day and the light and colors are just stunning! Such a blast (as always) working with you guys!!
    Lots of love,

Elissa and Matt had a beautiful wedding at the newly remodeled Luxe Hotel in Brentwood. It felt kind of funny being there at first because Adi and I both grew up about 5 minutes from the hotel! It is so cozy and cool and the décor is super snazzy! We had just attended an event there the week before for about 100 wedding professionals in the city and I had the fabulous opportunity to spend some time with the General Manager, Seth Horowitz. Hopefully, he has some pull to get on the recommended vendor list! 😉
Former Next Exit clients, Sandy and Lev, referred us to this adorable couple who have since referred us to several of their friends getting married within the next year. Way to keep it in the family!!! We can’t wait to get to know everybody a little better over the coming months.
One of the most special parts of day was watching Elissa’a sister, Rabbi Rachel, perform the Tisch and wedding ceremony. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house! The reception was full of fun and laughter and the dancing did not stop!
