Melissa and Evan loved Stacey and Manuel’s engagement pictures so much, that they also wanted to do them in Beverly Hills! No worries, we mixed it up completely because one of the best parts about challenging yourself as a photographer is finding new and creative ways of shooting things in the same place. At Next Exit, we try to make it different every time.
On May 26th, while Adi is shooting Melissa and Ian‘s wedding in Long Beach, I’ll be shooting Melissa and Evan’s wedding in Hollywood!! And, it happens to be our 5-year wedding anniversary that day! Don’t feel sorry for us, we’re blowing the money on really fat gifts for each other. You’ll have to wait another few weeks to find out what they are because we just ordered them today!!! BTW, I should mention that the stunning Melissa has come all the way from Canada to further pursue her career in modeling and acting and her future hubby works for the Los Angeles Avengers! What an amazing couple!

We continue to book the coolest couples and the sweetest weddings in all of Southern California!!!

Julie and Jesse are getting married at the Marina Del Rey Marriott later this year. They were referred to us by their buddies, Elissa and Matt (also getting married this year). We love the team spirit!
J&J met while getting their MBAs at the UCLA Anderson School of Management. Actually, Julie is not only getting an MBA, but a MPH as well! Their parents must be kvelling”¦
So, of course we had to do their engagement session on the UCLA campus. Lots of laughter and tons of fun. These two are made for each other!

There’s more to see!!!

Sherry McAnelly is one of Southern California’s premiere wedding hair and make-up artists. We have enjoyed working with her several times over the last few years. I was more than honored when she asked me to shoot a newborn session of Jude, her beautiful seven-day-old baby boy, at our new children’s portrait studio in West Los Angeles. She and her adorable husband, Ryan, were such great sports!
Newborn sessions are best captured when the baby is less than ten days old. We can always squeeze newborn sessions into our crazy schedule. Don’t hesitate to call us to make an appointment. If you missed the boat, and your baby is all grown up, don’t stress, we can take your baby’s portrait at any age!

  • Christa - Precious!

  • Karen - Beautiful shots.

  • angel swanson - sherry is the most fabulous makeup artist! i love these shots; congrats to them on their new arrival!

  • Christa - P.S.

Maybe you can pencil us in for around……… 01/20/08………… 😉

Jonah and Sammy are two of our favorite supermodels on the planet. Aren’t they the most adorable munchkins ever? They had such a good time dancing and making faces in our new studio. We have created the most amazing space for kids to be themselves in front of the camera. The reward? Parents get priceless images of their kids.

The Next Exit Kids website will be launching any day with all of the details on how to sign up for a portrait session.

Evie and Vince win the record for hiring Next Exit Photography the furthest in advance of their wedding date. Almost two years!!  However, when Adi and I arrived at the St. Regis Monarch Beach, it was as if no time had past at all. Another Doctor/Lawyer combo. We love it!
The hairstylist, Richard, was Princess Diana’s personal coiffeur for 10 years and he worked some magic on Evie’s flowing locks. It was such a pleasure working with Alyssa Summey, the wedding coordintor at Seven Degrees in Laguna Beach, one of our new favorite locations! It is such a cool place to host your wedding or event. The theme of this wedding was “Alice in Wonderland” and the décor was so unbelievably cool! Pink lemonade, playing card table numbers, a pink chocolate fountain”¦They even had hookas and hand rolled cigars on the terrace to finish off the perfect evening.

Here is the note that Vince emailed me the day after the wedding:
“Dear Adi and Cat, Thank you soo much! The two of you were wonderful, efficient, creative….We had the greatest time, and are so excited to see your pictures. I think a key factor was that we really like you two just as people, so were very comfortable that you would be as meticulous as we would be. We can’t wait to see all of the prints and the final book!
Thank you again! All of our guests were so impressed with all of our vendors! You are such professionals, and we feel privileged to have worked with you…Talk to you soon! Evie and Vince”
