Cat’s brother, Jeff, is in town promoting his new demo. I know that all of you have heard a few of his songs on our Next Exit Photography website. Well, we’re sure that he is going to be a huge hit. Anyways, Jeff and I hit the streets of Hollywood for some new promo pics for his website and MySpace page. It was a welcome “break” for me to do something insanely creative and somewhat different from our usual schedule of wedding and family portrait photography. Not to mention the kick-ass hole-in-the-wall taco stand we found on Western and Santa Monica. A special thanks to those of you who have contacted us to rave about his work and hopefully, some of the leads that are coming in will pan out.

  • Kristin - OMG! I really love all these shots!!!!!

My favorite is the second to last it just says it all. I’m not going to say anymore because there is no need. Amazing stuff.

    Best, -K

  • BJK - These fantastic shots have a voice even without the music.

Ian is a 1st Lieutenant in the United States Army. Even though he is currently based in the great state of Hawaii, he flew out for his engagement session with his adorable fiancé, Melissa. We cannot wait to shoot their wedding in Long Beach on May 26th (this year, our own FIVE YEAR wedding anniversary, for those of you who want to send us lavish gifts, etc.) 😉

^^^Adi doing his thing….do not try this at home.

It resulted in this gorgeous shot below! vvv

  • Jules Bianchi - way to risk life & limb for the shot, Adi!!!

  • Jen - A great shot is ALWAYS worth a broken bone or two. 🙂

Adi and I managed to score the event of the year! You guessed it, Sally Horchow‘s Birthday Party. We met Sally last year, as she co-chaired the fresh stART charity event that we photographed. Not only is Sally incredibly savvy and smart, she’s such a super nice woman. And, she is a lifestyle expert for such publications as The New York Times, Town & Country, and, to name just a few. She hosted 175 of her closest and dearest friends at Social Hollywood and every detail was perfect. The theme? An Ice Cream Social. She had the most fabulous vendors including a homemade ice cream station with an extensive 10 foot toppings bar, a genius balloon twister, a crafty card trick dude, a pool playing expert, and yes, Adi and Cat from Next Exit Photography (a side show all of their own) who dazzled Sally’s guests with their new photo booth experience.
Next Exit has launched it’s own photo booth experience for their clients. Now available as an add-on to all of our event and wedding packages. You can’t ever go wrong with our signature polka dot backdrop. Stay tuned for a huge contest where you can win a free photo booth at your upcoming event.

  • Nanette - How fun! I loooove the polka dots! I’m excited to hear about your contest! *whispering* My 30th birthday is coming up. Hmm…

Julie and David booked Next Exit over the phone so we didn’t know what to expect when we finally did meet them about two weeks before their wedding. Imagine our excitement when we realized what an incredibly fun and relaxed (and adorable) couple they were. And, as you would expect, their wedding day was just as fun as they are. I had such a great time shooting their wedding at the Sky Room in Long Beach. We even managed to steal away for a short time and do a really cool shoot in the streets just underneath their reception location at the Long Beach Sky Room.

  • Emi - Great wedding guys! Love the color and variety of shots.

    See you soon!

Wedding planning isn’t easy. (I should know!) That’s why it is so fabulous for all brides and grooms to hire a pro for their wedding day. Whether you can afford somebody for the day-of, month-of or full service wedding coordination, Adi and I are happy to refer you to a list of wonderful coordinators that we love working with.
Rebecca Stone of {duet} weddings is one of those gals. We had the pleasure of working with her at Lauren and Eddy’s wedding at Firestone Vineyard last year. We can’t wait to work with her again on Amber and Mike’s wedding at the same fabulous location! We are so honored that she wanted Next Exit Photography to shoot her new bio pic for her brand new website debuting any day.

  • Rebecca - Cat and Adi!!
Thank you so much again! I had such a blast hanging out with you guys. 🙂 Cat, you really are a miracle worker- I am so thrilled with my pics- a feeling I am totally not used to (and the many, many years of horrible school pictures to prove it..)You made me feel so comfortable and your fun and relaxed attitude makes it so easy to smile (and laugh!)for the camera. You guys are the best! Lots of love,

  • Amber - Wow! Rebecca looks fabulous. The picture is great — of course, all of your work is incredible!
Mike and I are so excited to have Next Exit as our photographer and Rebecca Stone as our wedding coordinator. We can hardly wait!

  • angel swanson - rebecca looks gorgeous, per usual! great job cat~

Sarah and Jason were an absolute pleasure to work with on their wedding day. They had planned many of their details around a clock theme and it’s so true, time did stand still when they said their vows. Their beautiful ceremony took place on the campus of Occidental College in Eagle Rock and then we head to AAA Seafood in Monterey Park for a traditional 10 course Chinese Banquet! The reception was a total blast as their MCs kept the whole crowd laughing throughout dinner and there was even a karaoke machine for the guests to enjoy! Jason was a great sport and he ended the night, singing a song to his one true love. S&J, you guys are wonderful.
