Adi and I recently tried something new. We met TWO of our amazing Next Exit couples in Long Beach on a random downtown corner. Adi grabbed Janice and Jason and I grabbed San and Alejandro. We parted ways and hit the streets! About 45 minutes later, we met up by the docks and switched couples. Of course, those of you who know us, know that Adi and I NEVER compete over images (yeah right, wink wink), but this was an amazingly fun and challenging experience, one that none of us will never forget. To finish off the evening, the six of us headed to the Yard House for happy hour cocktails and delicious treats, before heading back on the 405. (Adi was the designated driver, don’t worry!)
And, no, we won’t say who shot what”¦just know that all of the good ones are mine.

  • San and Alejandro - LOVE them! We had so much fun at the photo shoot and it shows. Thanks for taking care of us and making us look beautiful. Can’t wait ’til the wedding.

  • Janice & Jason - Wow! We love the pictures! Can’t wait to see the rest. Thank you for a really fun shoot. You guys are definitely the best!

  • Heather & Mike - I love that escalator picture!

  • Christa - Ditto what H & M said. I love that one! And no, you 2 NEVER compete over images…. 😉

Everytime I see your E-pic sessions, makes me wish we had found you guys sooner and were able to do them. These 2 make me wish that even more! They are all fabulous!

  • Jules Bianchi - love the escalator shot!

The love of my life (other than Adi, of course) is my sweet and adorable, Ella.
Ella is my first cousin Nicole’s baby.
Isn’t she the most precious thing in the world?

  • Christa - Awww! SO adorable! What a little doll 🙂

  • Heather & Mike - So perfect! Love those lips and ears!

  • Jules Bianchi - OMG what a doll!! You captured those eyes perfectly!!

After several rescheduled engagement shoots due to work and rain conflicts, Kelly and Ray (uber-car fanatics) and I finally got down to business in Santa Monica with only one week to spare before the big day. It was somewhat cold and windy, but from these pictures you would never know, outside of the winter coats. K&R are unbelievably photogenic and so in love. I’m really looking forward to the wedding in Palos Verdes!

  • Jenn - I’m in love with these pictures!! See you on TPH!

  • Bethani - I just want’ed to let you know I love your work! Your style the kinda look I enjoy.
I am a young photographer and I found your blog/ site from Paul Gero’s blog. Paul was a teacher of mine.

Junior and Marisol had a gorgeous wedding at the historic Biltmore Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles. Their ceremony at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels was one of the most beautiful catholic wedding ceremonies I’ve ever seen. The choirgirl had a voice like an angel and every time she sang, I was moved. Lori Ann Spagna from Leave It To Lori Events, did a fabulous job coordinating the day of events. Jennifer Charm from Salon Carabella , and Mariah Nicole, did all of the girls wedding hair and make-up. The Mariachi Nuevo Cuicatlán was one of the best we’ve seen! And, the Susie Hansen Latin Jazz Band is so fabulously talented and easy to work with. They had the dance floor filled the whole night.

  • Marisol - Cat & Adi these pictures are fantastic! Can’t wait to see the rest! The two of you made our day – we had such a great time!

  • Jennifer Charm - Cat,
These are wonderful photos! It was a pleasure helping Marisol and her wedding party to look their very best. I look forward to working with you in the future. You are the consummate professional and your delivery is fast and friendly!

I had so much fun playing around with Elissa and Matt in Seal Beach in the beautiful light of the setting sun. Elissa is a Seal Beach local, so it meant a lot for her to have her epics taken in her “hood.” She is so local, in fact, that the self-proclaimed “Mayor of Seal Beach” came out of Clancy’s Bar for a photo-opp. If these pics are any indication of their photo prowess, we are going to have such an amazing experience shooting their wedding in September at the Luxe Hotel in Brentwood. Many thanks to Next Exit veterans, Lev and Sandy, for referring us!

To launch the opening of the new West Los Angeles Next Exit Photography Studio, I offered a promotion to a few of my actor friends (and their actor friends) that could not be passed up. Word spread so quickly, that I had every space filled within 6 hours, as well as a 60-person waiting list! Don’t worry, I promise that I will be having several specials over the next few months.
I love shooting actors. A few of my blog readers know that I worked in the theater for many years. Some of my fondest memories are from directing children’s theater in my early twenties at the Santa Monica Playhouse, where I also preformed in nearly 20 musicals from the age of 8 until I left for college. Of course, I ultimately chose a different path”¦
Anyways, if you are interested in a headshot, please email me at for rates and to schedule an appointment. If you are a manager or an agent, let’s talk! My studio is conveniently located by the 10 & 405 freeways.
