Next Exit Kids has been in full swing these last few months! We were trying to hold out for the launch of our new children’s and family photography website (hopefully up by the end of this year) so I have about 20 sessions to get on here before then because I love all the pix soooo much, I just can’t stand waiting any longer!
Here are a few from a session that we shot at the Next Exit Studio (a.k.a our home). Reily is the niece of one of our favorite married Next Exit couples, Christa and Roman. We photographed their wedding earlier this year at a vineyard in Temecula. When I met Flowergirl Reily at the wedding, I told Christa that I wanted her to be a poster child for our company! Could she be more adorable?

  • Christa - Aw!! They look SO utterly amazing! You guys rock so much!

Rylie is just going to flip when she see’s herself up on a website!! She had such a blast doing this! Thank you for everything!

  • Nanette - So adorable!!!

  • Heather & Mike - Um, adorable much?! Now I wish we had a flower girl!

Who would have thought that my own brother would be more excited about being featured on the Next Exit Photography blog than our own clients! After several instant messages, phone calls and phantom emails inquiring when my brother Jeff and his adorable girlfriend would be be blogged, Adi and I finally got our act together.
Jeff and Kristin live in Manhattan, NY so we were all so excited when they announced that they would be coming home to Los Angeles for a visit last week. Adi and I hosted a big family BBQ in our backyard and I snapped a few pics of Jeff and Kristin while Adi was grillin up the meats. I really wish that they lived closer, but it’s looking very promising that we are all going to get together in London with our cousins for the New Year~!
Anyways, hope you guys likey!

  • Jessica Johnston - I just love your work guys! That 4 square series is just great-wonderful color! love it!

  • Christa - Those pic’s are adorable! And I agree about the 4 sq series, too cute. Love the fall colors coming in!

  • Hep Schmitty - Great pics!!! You guys are so talented and super awesome. I think I speak for all of us when I say..”Who is that couple!!! GORG!”

The first time I was ever at Dodger Stadium must have been some time during the 1977 season. My uncle took my brother and me to a great game where the Los Angeles Dodgers were locked in fierce competition with the Pirates. It was quite overwhelming for this 5-year-old and I don’t remember whether it was the excitement of the game or the Dodger Dogs, but something didn’t agree with me when I got back to my Uncle’s house. (Just ask him about his rug.)

This most recent time in Chavez Ravine, I was 1 of 4 people in the entire stadium. The other three were Cat and our clients, Heather and Michael. Heather comes from a serious family of Uber-Dodger fans and just happens to work for the team. She arranged our exclusive visit to the stadium and we were ecstatic! Michael supports the San Francisco Giants. But we won’t hold that against him.

Tomorrow, the New York Mets will try to upset the Dodgers in the first round of the playoffs. Today, I submit to you this wonderful engagement session set in the home of Koufax, Drysdale, and Lasorda. Thank you, Heather and Michael, for this memorable experience! We look forward to shooting your wedding later this year after the Dodgers win The World Series.

  • Heather & Mike - We are BEYOND THRILLED with these pictures! Cat & Adi, you two are the greatest. We can’t wait for the magical pictures you’ll take at our wedding. Thanks again for these amazing snaps and, of course, GO DODGERS!!!!!!!

  • Linda Buchanan - These are spectacular. Ever shot is better than the next, loved every single one! Dodger Stadium never looked better!

  • Kathy and Bill - What incredible photos, and I particularly liked #4, the Dodger Giant “face off” photo. Some people might ask, “Can a rabid Dodger fan and an equally rabid Giant fan make it as man and wife?” I can personally attest to the fact that a successful marriage is possible having married a Giant fan over 36 years ago. Of course, now we like the Padres:)

  • Aunt Terry & Uncle John - Wow..what phab photos of a gorgeous couple. can’t wait to see the wedding shots.Am just sitting down to watch the playoffs…GO DODGERS!!!

  • Auntie Lynn - Fun, Fun, Fun! The pictures look great, but then so are the two of you. GO Dodgers! GO USC! GO Seahawks!

  • Bella Buster - Oh I just love these!!! I can’t stop from smiling from seeing you two so happy! Such amazingly fun and beautiful photos. GO DODGERS! and FIGHT ON BABY!!! xoxo

  • Marylou Macaluso - Great pics, but where is Rigby, the real Dodger Dog!?

  • Lesley - These pics are absolutely amazing….you both look incredible as well!!!! Can’t wait ’til the big day!!

Laura-Lee and Erik celebrated their wedding at LL’s uncle’s estate in San Marino, just around the corner from the Ritz Carlton, Huntington Hotel (also the wedding hotel for all of the guests). Rumor had it, that a NBA superstar knocked on their door a few weeks before the wedding and told the owners, we want to buy your house. The owners declined and the b-ball player insisted. I guess he made it worth their while, because this wedding marked the last event at their family’s home!

There was a lot of love for the University of Arizona, where the couple first met. It seemed like the whole Wildcats cheering section was in attendance.

The ceremony at Church of the Lighted Window in La Canada was beautiful, even though they didn’t allow photography inside the chapel! Ambience Lighting provided the incredible paper chinese lantern décor. It was so gorgeous! My favorite caterer in town prepared the food. It just doesn’t get any better than The Kitchen for Exploring Foods. Beautiful flowers by Leonora Moss and a beautiful cake by The Cakery Bakery.

  • Libby - LL you are stunning!!! The photo’s absolutely breath-takingly beautiful. Such creative photography too.

It was such a pleasure working as the official corporate event photographers for Dartmouth College at their phenomenally designed Black Tie Thank You Dinner/Fundraiser at the beautiful Walt Disney Concert Hall in Downtown Los Angeles. Our good friend Kim Fox was already booked that night, so she passed along our name to the incredibly sweet event coordinator, Deborah.
Exquisitely catered by the Patina Group, every display of food was deliciously prepared and presented. The design team from Dartmouth created the entire event based on a theme of Dartmouth Grad Theodor Seuss Geisel’s, “Dr. Seuss.” Everything was Seussical! The guests were mainly Hollywood notables and their families who attended the University. The two hosts were also Dartmouth grads, actress Aisha Tyler and Big Apple Circus founder Paul Binder. BTW, the Chocolate Fountain was a huge hit!

I must add: as a graduate of Tufts University (me) and USC (Adi), it was really special for us to see all of the love the attendants had for their alma mater and made us want to get more active with our alumni associations.
