Tiffany was a bridesmaid at Teresa and Aaron’s wedding (Next Exit Alums, we miss you T) at the Portofino Hotel and Yacht Club in Redondo Beach two and a half years ago. We were so excited when she booked us to be her wedding photographers at the Wayfarer’s Chapel in Rancho Palos Verdes and the Dalmation American Hall in San Pedro. Things got sizzling hot when Tiffany permitted me to shoot her wedding day boudoir session in the hotel room after she finished up her make-up. We kicked everybody out of the room (including Adi!) and I got to snap away. Too bad those ones won’t make it to the blog this time!!
It was such a pleasure spending the day with Tiffany and Michael. They are so adorable together! Just as adorable is Tiffany’s son, who entertained us with his Bob Marley imitations and professional-ish break dancing.T&M are both of Croatian descent and had some true authentic details to celebrate their heritage. The walking band had everybody smiling and singing a tune! Congrats, you two!

  • Teresa Kent - Hrvatska! and Greetings from The Buckeye State,

Cat and Adi, you’ve outdone yourselves once again! Tiffany and Mike’s wedding pictures are beautifully stunning and really capture the fun energy and vibe of the day. See what you’ve done -you’re making me miss California!

It was a blast hanging out with you two again and it’s a priviledge to be Next Exit Alums (thanks for the shout-out!)

Mike and Tiff, thanks for throwing the party of the year and for all the fun memories. Tiffany, you’re a Super Hot Bride. Teal ladies, don’t let those shoes go to waste! I’m wearing mine right now because there’s no place like home …

Sarah and Brad started dating way back in Jr. High School and are now engaged to be married! Currently, this adorable pair are attending Grad School and planning their August wedding at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu. How do they do it!?
Adi and I had such a blast photographing S&B’s engagement photographs in Santa Monica. They were so much fun together! They said they were nervous at first, but it didn’t show a bit. We ended off the evening chowing down at one of our favorite spots just down the road from the Next Exit pad”¦Tito’s Taco’s!!! yummmm.

  • Sarah - Yay, thanks Cat for putting them up. You and Adi are so talented and we are really looking forward to spending some more time with Adi on our wedding day. By the way, I was dreaming about those tacos for nights after.

  • Danica - You guys are so cute, I think the 3rd picture is my favorite! Ilove you guys and cant wait to see you.

  • Beth - These pictures are so wonderful! You both look so great! I love the 4th and 5th picture!

  • Lyndi Dawn Macdonald - Well Brad, although we are distant cousins, I have not seen you since you were an infant, and WOW! I must say you have grown up to be quite a handsome young man and what a darling fiance! The two of you are a beautiful couple and I wish you abundance of light, love, and happiness together! Good Luck!!! Lyndi Dawn

  • Chris Phillips and Helen Covey - Brad and Sarah,
I am your 2nd cousin, Chris and Helen is your Great Aunt. My daughter, Kim is here also and her kids. We would all like to wish you both much love and happiness. You are a beautiful couple and Sarah you could be Rachel’s daughter! You look remarkably like her!! Welcome to the family, we hope we can meet you in person someday soon.
Love, Aunt Helen, Chris and Kim and families.

Spring has just ended. It’s summertime at Casa de Next Exit Photography!
We moved into our new home 3 months ago from today and we can’t believe how time has gone by!
Adi planted his tomatoes, herbs, and beans last month and they are growing like crazy every day. The avocado, pomegranate and fig trees and roses were all here when we moved in, but the rest is “a la Adi.”
Here is a collage that Adi designed of some of my garden photos from our very own backyard! If you have an idea for a photo collage, run it by us and maybe we can help you figure it out! (or, maybe we can even shoot it for you. Insert wink.)

I don’t think that there is a greater honor for a wedding photographer than to shoot a fellow wedding photographer’s actual wedding! Kim Fox is a talented Southern California wedding photographer whose work we greatly admire. Adi and I felt privileged to be a part of this magical weekend in Desert Hot Springs and Joshua Tree celebrating Kim and Jimmy’s wedding. Kim was so into her wedding photos that she put Adi and I up in the adjoining room to her honeymoon suite! All photos, all the time. There were no limits, no lists, no restrictions. Just pure photo fabulousness. In fact, we even shot her pre-wedding “boudoir” on our own bed!
An intimate affair with about 35 close friends and relatives, we took over the Beat Hotel and its nearby dessert roads and made them into our own little wedding fashion shoot location. The ceremony was “experienced” in between the mountains and the Joshua Trees. Poetry was recited, songs were sung, guitars were strummed, and then, the glass was broken under the chuppah and we all danced the horah under the setting sun. Kim is such a dear friend and she and Jimmy make a perfect set.
After the wedding was over, Kim said to me, “I get it now. I understand how a bride feels on her wedding day.”
I personally agree. My own wedding day four years ago was the happiest day of my entire life.

  • Becky - Gorgeous! I’m awed! You guys are awesome!!!!!

  • Christa - Boy, my Joshua Tree pic’s sure don’t look anything like these :) These are incredible pictures!! I don’t know what it is about the stop sign picture, but I SO love it!

    Awesome work!

Today is a beautiful day in Los Angeles and en la Casa de Next Exit Photography. The sun is shinning, the birds are chirping, our cats are behaving, and, oh yeah, WE WERE PUBLISHED IN THE KNOT MAGAZINE! The Knot is one of the most widely read wedding magazines in the country. It is just a dream come true to be included! We are also featured on the website with additional photos and a full story about the wedding. Click here to see the story!
I met the lovely Rebecca Crumley (Photo Editor at the Knot) at a Southern California “women in wedding photography” gathering last year. She was so warm and approachable and we got to chatting about all of you! (our fabulous Next Exit clients, of course). I gave her the low down on a few of your wedding details and she loved the story of Danyel and Elliot’s backyard carnival themed affair. She asked me to send her a few images, and poof! Several nail-bitting months later, she emailed me to say that the Knot had chosen it as a Real Wedding! Danyel is a published novelist and editor. Her blog is one of the best. Elliot is the Editor-in-Chief of XXL Magazine, “Hip-Hop on a Higher Level.”
Tiffany submitted her own wedding and charmed the pants off several editors, including the Knot’s. So that’s how Tiffany landed us a full-page image of her ceremony detail (chivari chair with parasol.) Tiffany now designs wedding day jewelry. Check out Creme de Luxe.
We are too excited for words. This is such an incredible honor for us as wedding photographers to be published in a magazine that we hold in the highest regards. Thank you Rebecca, Danyel, Elliot and Tiffany!

Christa and Roman were our second wedding couple this spring to get married at a vineyard in wine country Temecula (out of three!). We have fallen in love with this place. It’s so magical, romantic and the locals are a pleasure to work with! Wilson Creek Winery is set on perfectly manicured lawns next to hundreds of rows of grape vines. You just can’t take a bad picture there. Of course, when you throw in a couple like C&R… full of love, life and excitement, every picture turns into gold! FYI, wedding planning by Diana Ross of Celebrations by Diana is a must if you are getting married in Temecula Valley. She is so easy to work with and made it all “happen.”
One of the nicest couples we know, C&R are Disney-a-holics. You can see the happy spirit of Mickey and Minnie in them, I swear. Spending the day under the golden sun with this fabulous couple and their supportive families was effortless. We hope that we’ll get to sip a bit more of that famous almond champagne next time we hang out!
